Unfortunately, I came down with some sort of cold or allergies 4 days into the trip (don’t worry, I’m better now and currently searching for my next TV gig), so I spent a lot of time alone in my childhood bedroom. Nearly all of the time when I wasn’t blowing my nose was spent watching the entire series of the CBS show The Good Wife from start to finish. Since wrapping as associate story producer on a home renovation show for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), I have been dedicating my time to learning the craft of the scripted television director. As an organized, strategic-thinking individual, the fact that becoming a successful scripted director does not have a dedicated career path is somewhat frustrating to me.
